What learning opportunities are available at PT Solutions?
PT Solutions has multiple practice settings including outpatient orthopaedic sports medicine, industrial physical therapy, hand therapy, electromyography, acute care, long term care, and on field sports medicine.
PT Solutions has an 18 month mentorship program in outpatient orthopaedic practice which includes practice development in manual treatment, focused therapeutic exercise program, practice management, and evidence guided care.
Is housing available?
PT Solutions has available housing options available to students on a first come basis. Please contact us early in your preparation to learn of these opportunities.
Will I participate in continuing education while on my clinical?
PT Solutions regularly has over 180 hours of clinical education each year. Students are encouraged to attend and participate in this education while on clinicals
What is Dress Code at PT Solutions?
Dress code for males in our outpatient clinics is dress slacks, dress shirt and tie and for women the dress is commensurate professional dress.
Will there be other students from other institutions?
PT Solutions affiliates with over 42 institutions across the country providing a diversity among our student population.
Graduating Students
PT Solutions provides the new therapists with opportunities for clinical and professional advancement. This is achieved with our 18 month didactic and clinical mentorship program. The program involves clinical as well and group setting educational advancement for the new graduate. This program is focused in the outpatient clinical environments on manual care, evidence based practice and the clinical management of our patients.
Mentorship includes topics such as:
- Manual care of the lumbar spine and sacrum, cervical, thoracic, TMD, shoulder, knee, foot, hip, elbow, hand
- Clinical physical therapy diagnosis, treatment, outcome evidence and assessment
- Communication skills and advancement
- Clinical research development
- Clinical care of athletic programs and injury prevention
- Technology and clinical care
- Leadership development
- Customer Service
The goals of our clinical mentoring program include independent practitioners that are self reflective, efficient and effective in delivery of care, innovative in care and treatment, evidence driven, and set forth a goal of clinical specialization through the APTA Specialist Certification.
PT Solutions provides the new graduate with many clinical benefits and opportunities to pursue clinical specialization through these experiences.
